Your information

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 27, 2026 · Effective August 27, 2026

The short version

  • We set no cookies. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no session recording. There is nothing on this site that follows you anywhere. Two third parties do receive a request from your browser: Google Fonts, and Bunny Stream if you play the video. Both are named below.
  • The only personal information we hold is what you type into the form on our Start page, and only if you tick the consent box.
  • We use it to contact you about setting up your fundraiser. Nothing else.
  • We never sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
  • Want it gone? Email privacy@goodfundraising.org and we will delete it.

This policy explains what GoodFundraising.org does with personal information. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will give you a straight answer.

GoodFundraising.org is operated by Good Fundraising, 919 Conference Dr., Suite 4-290, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. For anything in this policy, we are the party responsible for the information described below.

1 · What we collect

We collect personal information in exactly one place: the form on our Start your fundraiser page. There is no other form, no account to create, no newsletter signup and no chat widget. If you only read the site, we do not collect anything about you that identifies you.

What you type in

FieldWhy it exists
Your nameSo we know who we are talking to.
OrganizationThe school, team, church or non-profit you are raising money for.
Type of groupHelps us send relevant help rather than generic material.
EmailTo follow up in writing.
PhoneTo follow up by phone or text, if you asked us to.
ConsentWhether you ticked the box agreeing to be contacted. We store your answer.

What the form records automatically

Alongside your answers, the form saves a few technical details so we can tell where a submission came from:

FieldWhat it is
Referral codeThe affiliate code for the person whose link you followed (for example Faithfulwell2).
Host nameThe first name of that person, so we know who should follow up.
SourceA fixed label identifying which page the submission came from.
Page addressThe address of the page you submitted from, with any query string stripped off.
TimestampThe date and time you submitted.

We deliberately keep personal information out of web addresses. Your name, email and phone number are never placed in a URL, because addresses leak into browser history, referrer headers and server logs along the way. When we hand you over to LiveGood, the only thing traveling on that address is the referral code.

We do not collect a date of birth, a mailing address, a payment card, a bank detail, a government identifier, or any health information. We have no use for them and do not ask.

2 · Why we collect it, and what you agreed to

We rely on your consent, and that consent is narrow and specific. The box on the form reads:

"Yes, [your host] may contact me by email or phone about setting up this fundraiser."

That is the whole permission. We use your details to get in touch about starting and running your fundraiser, and to answer your questions. The form cannot be submitted without ticking that box, because we are asking for a phone number and we would rather be asked than assumed.

We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send you unrelated offers, and we do not pass you to anyone else so that they can. If you tell us to stop contacting you, we stop.

3 · Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies at all. We also do not use:

Because we do not track you, there is no cookie banner to click and no advertising preference to manage. There is also nothing meaningful for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to change: we already behave as though it were switched on. If your browser sends one, nothing about our handling of your information differs.

The third parties your browser contacts

There are two, and no others.

Google Fonts. Our pages load two typefaces, Fraunces and Nunito Sans, from Google. Your browser makes a request to Google's servers, and that request necessarily reveals your IP address and general browser information to them. We receive nothing from it and it sets no cookie on our site, but it is a third-party request and you deserve to know it happens.

Bunny Stream, and only if you press play. The overview video on our home page is delivered by Bunny (bunny.net) through an embedded player. The player frame loads from iframe.mediadelivery.net, which means Bunny sees your IP address and, once you start the video, what you watched. It is set to not preload, so if you never press play the video data is never fetched. Bunny is a content delivery provider acting for us; we do not receive any identifiable information back from it about who watched.

4 · Browser storage we do use

We use a small amount of your browser's own storage for things the site cannot work without. This is not tracking: it never leaves your device except where noted, it is not tied to an advertising identifier, and clearing your browser data removes it.

NameWhat it does
gf_leads If your form submission cannot reach us (you lost signal, or our server was briefly unavailable), your answers are held in your own browser and sent again the next time you open the site, so your inquiry is not silently lost. It is removed as soon as it arrives with us. It lives only in your browser until then.
gf_enroller The referral code from the link you followed, so the right person is credited if you move between pages before filling in the form. Cleared when you close the tab.
gf_name The first name shown in the welcome bar at the top of the page, for the same reason. Cleared when you close the tab.

5 · Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not rent, trade or otherwise disclose it for anyone else's marketing purposes, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Three parties are necessarily involved in running the site:

Beyond that, we would disclose information only where the law actually requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.

LiveGood is separate, and this is the part to read twice

When you leave our Start page you are sent to LiveGood's own sign-up page to create your organization's account. From that point you are on LiveGood's website, dealing with LiveGood, under LiveGood's privacy policy and terms — not ours. Anything you type there, including any account or payment details, goes to them and is outside our control. We do not pass your form answers to LiveGood; the only thing that travels with you is the referral code. Please read their policy before entering anything.

6 · Server logs

Our server keeps short operational logs so we can tell whether the site is working and spot abuse. These record things like the time of a request and the response code.

The submission endpoint is written so that the contents of your submission are never logged. When it records that a submission was rejected, it writes down which fields were involved and how long they were — never what they said. Your name, email address and phone number do not appear in our logs.

We also apply a per-address rate limit to the form to stop automated abuse. That involves counting recent requests in memory for a short period; it is discarded continuously and is not used to identify you.

7 · How long we keep it

We keep an inquiry for as long as it is useful for the purpose you gave it to us (helping your group start and run a fundraiser), and then we delete it. In practice that means we clear out inquiries that never became active fundraisers rather than holding them forever. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we do it, and we do not need a reason.

8 · Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Email privacy@goodfundraising.org and we will act on it. We do not charge for this, we will not make it difficult, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before handing over a copy of someone's personal information — that protects you, not us.

Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, including the right to complain to a data protection or consumer protection authority. Nothing in this policy limits them.

9 · Children

This site is aimed at the adults who organize fundraisers: group leaders, coaches, teachers, committee members and parents. The form is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.

Fundraisers often involve students sharing their own referral links. Those links and any resulting accounts live on LiveGood's systems, not ours, and are governed by LiveGood's policies. If you believe a child has submitted our form, email privacy@goodfundraising.org and we will delete it promptly.

10 · Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Submissions are sent to our own server on the same domain rather than to a third-party form service, and the credential used to write to our database exists only in that server's environment; it is never present in any page delivered to your browser. The endpoint accepts submissions only from our own site, checks and limits the size and shape of everything it receives, and rate-limits repeated attempts.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever discovered a breach affecting your information, we would tell you.

11 · Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, meaning we started collecting something new or using your information for a new purpose, we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing a sentence.
